"Hotel and golf course stay was great, very out of the way place but staff (Enzo) made it a great stay taking care of everything. Course is in good shape but greens are a bit slow. Course knowledge is key here and my golf app helped a lot. Staff are all great and helpful "

"The hygienic conditions were horrible, the toilets near the bars and restaurants were very dirty, a bad smell came out of the toilet in the room. The restaurant with buffet was dirty in the area of fries, with food thrown on the counter.
Food in general was not good, but the cakes and pastries were excellent."

"The hotel was quite a disappointment. We were there as a couple and had booked all-inclusive.
However, at check-in we had to pay over €150 extra for a club membership, which we didn't know what it was for.
Included in the all inclusive package was the food, which was more or less the same every day and only water and wine from a tap to drink. We drank from plastic glasses.
Every other drink, such as cola, had to be paid for separately with a card at 3.50 per can.

"Incredible sandstone cave bedroom . Spacious and atmospheric. Cool and quiet. Jacuzzi tub.
Delicious breakfast with many local products. Excellent coffee.
Staff were bright and cheerful. Big shout out to Val who went above and beyond in tying my dates together.
The spa is a real treat at the end of a day discovering the many levels of Matera. The staff there too are excellent. Thank you Jenny for the wonderful massage!
This place is uniquely positioned on the quiet side of the Sassi. Almost all of the rooms have a balcony or terrace with dramatic views. It’s ancient history and you’re cocooned within it. Unique.

"We would definitely recommend this property, just highlighting a lot of confusion around dining table assignments, and that for some reasons the outdoor one kept being moved under the sun despite plenty of availability under the shaded areas and us moving the tables every time clearly annoyed of the sun.
Another element of improvement we would have liked is availability of water bottle refilling stations around the property."

Parking is free and easy to find. The hotel picks you up and takes you into the city.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. On the day of our departure we needed to leave very early and they had a full breakfast ready for us and gave us a ride back to our car with no problem at all.
The location at the edge of the cliff is absolutely stunning and the views are unparalleled.
The rooms themselves are unique and very well appointed. The bathroom in our room needs to be repainted and the loft where the kids slept got very hot. But other than that we can't find a single fault with this lovely spot in a beautiful city!
